Jerry was born in Grand Forks and lived most of his life in Oslo, MN until he moved recently to Grand Forks. Jerry joined Gowan Construction in 1986, and along with being the Field Superintendent, he is the Lowboy Dispatcher and coordinates equipment for job sites.
His most memorable job was running the twin engine scraper for building and maintenance of the American Crystal Sugar sites. Jerry also enjoyed the many miles of farm ditches and building dikes. His first major foreman job and one of his favorites was Demers Avenue, from Washington to Ray Richards, where they got two years’ work done in one summer. He also enjoyed the I29 box culvert project.
Jerry holds many certificates in Traffic Control, MSHA, OSHA, CPR and SWPPP.
